Am I the only person that always experience this situation? Every time there is a white women(Young & Old) sitting next to me on the plane. They always trying to startup a random conversation with me. Even when I have my headphones on.

I'm like bytch don't you see my headphones are on. That a clear sign that I want to be left alone.

They just trying to make small talk in order to pass the time away, and not think about the fact that they 30,000 feet in the air....stop being so goddamn anti-social. It gunna kill you to carry a convo w/ someone you will never see again in your life? You might learn, or pull something away from it that could be meaningful to your life. I notice it all the time, not just the airplane, but any confined space be it an elevator, in line at the supermarket, etc. I think they do it cuz their scared. White people act extra friendly when they get nervous/scared.

I could see a young person not wanting to engage a stranger in conversation, since youngsters typically don't have anything worthwhile to talk about.
However, when you're old, you tend to appreciate people more, and you're open to conversation with virtual strangers as a way to become more enlightened and to gain a broader perspective on things.

Get to know these white folks, brehs - you might just run across your next business partner, mentor or career opportunity.

this is true. I was traveling back to ATL from NY a couple of years ago, and I got peppered with questions by this chubby miley cyrus

You would think. This happens to me ALL OF THE TIME. On planes, walking the dogs (worst because I'm fumbling with two leashes to take out the earbud) everywhere. It's frustrating as hell because It should be universal.
