I see what you're saying but I disagree. I think that child will be mentally scarred by its family just giving up on them
You don't necessarily give up on them when you put them in a care facility. you still can visit and spend time with them. You are just no longer the primary caretaker.

It's a huge load of work. Bathing, changing, feeding, watching, entertaining them. Plus working so you can afford paying the bills classes, training and therapy for them. If you need help, there is no shame in getting help.

I see, I thought you meant like just put them in the care of the state and cast them to the side. What you're saying is reasonable, though I'd still be uneasy about it
