I was born in a Christian home and grew up that way, but as time went on, we stopped going to church as a family. But we still got Bibles at home and I still go to church-related events now and again. What made me believe that there's a higher power out there is that I have so many questions that nobody seems to have the answer to, and the fact that I'm also a life form with his own consciousness, thoughts, ideas, wants and desires. And if humans are capable of having a consciousness, then other life forms on different worlds should too. I always wondered how a life form would develop a conscious mind if their previous incarnation didn't. And what REALLY goes down when a life form dies. I just have a lot of curiosity for everything in general. :yeshrug:

I can honestly say there are moments in my life where I have felt the presence of higher power/God/spirits/cosmic energy whatever you want to call it.

It's hard to explain in text, but its like a wave of raw energy and emotion over took me and I was in my body and I wasn't and I felt immediately connected to every human and I was overcome with grief, joy and apprehension all at the same time.

It wasn't mania like how the "holy ghost" looks like. It was just a moment of intense spirituality.

Lets say we couldn't explain what you experienced.

Walk me to how its the abrahamic deity in your preferred denomination :sas1:

Somthing incredibly soothing came over me when i was nearly drowning. Was struggling underwater for about a minute and a half, gasping for air but instead getting my lungs filled with water. At a certain point I just stopped trying and everything just felt so calm, it was for a short period of time but felt so long. Pretty incredible.

Anyways i'm never haunted or anything when i think about it, but sometimes I do wonder how or why i'm still alive, is this shyt even real. Can't prove if a higher power exists but to me it doesn't matter. Just do you and try to make the most out of this life, it's beautiful.

I'm not one to really differentiate between the three really. That's why I stopped calling myself a Christian.

My point exactly.

So don't.

Just expect me to overlook clear bullshyt and spare it because we usually agree.

I'm here to defend the real...I can't be responsible for emotional attachments

Doesn't make the shyt you say "real", bro. I could give a fukk if a person believes in unicorns and lime green sex demons. If he's a decent cat i'm not gon shyt on his perspective. None of us will know shyt until we die, and even then we may find out nothing. Whats the point of being antagonistic about it?

1. We're in here talking about religion so lets stick to the topic. You don't get to do the "I don't shyt on other perspectives game" when this is clearly the direction of the thread. Thats basically playing the "I don't like what he said waaaaaaaahhhh" game. Don't do this.

2. I DO care what people think. Sometimes I care enough to actually speak out against it and other times I don't. It matters

3. We do know what happens when people die largely. Don't play this ambiguity

4. I don't play nice on certain topics and you don't have to like me for it.

Take your argumentative ass somewhere else. This thread isn't for debate.
