spirit is clutch for short flights (under 2 hours) when you need to do a quick day trip or one nighter. i've copped $80 round trip tickets to LA for quick day trips like 2-3 days before leaving. otherwise, spirit and frontier are bushes, i always filter them out of flight results for real trips

When I was kid, Spirit was a decent carrier. The switch about 10 or so years ago is when the fukkery started

Spirit is cool for flying on a whim/a quick trip, especially since I live in South Florida & Fort Lauderdale is one of their main hubs. They also have a really good safety record for such a cheap ass airline.

I could decide to spend the weekend in New York & buy round trip tickets for $85 that Tuesday lol. When it's a major trip though, I'm flying Delta or American. You can't put a price on comfort + inflight experience
