Like letting a woman know that they are above it all.

Calling a woman cute is a compliment.

Saying she too cute to be told to relax is gassing

All those lines sound good in a song but in a regular conversation, I'd overhear a dude saying it and think he corny as hell like they sound pre-written, he was ready to spit that shyt for brownie points. Spitting game should be natural and usually you ain't thinking about giving random compliments to someone you just met. Now if you notice shortie works out or something, then that's natural. But randomly saying "you don't need no nikka for nothing" just meeting shortie is cornballish imo lol.

Sometimes women read the tone more than the words. There's a certain type of... urgency that a man has when he's not explicitly complimenting, but really wanna get to know you. It can sweep you up.

Compliments are a rote attempt to re-create that energy.

I told this one chick she took nice pics and that was it because I wasn’t going to gas her ass up.

I’m not really a compliment giver, and girls always go out their way for me to compliment them on something.

I remember this one chick was telling me to look at her hair, I’m oblivious, I look and I think to myself “is she losing her hair or something?” I told her idk what u want me to see, she said she dyed her hair lmao.

So yeah, I don’t compliment at all really.

When I spit game I don't gas up per say, I'm more pro-active and try to push the issue forward quick. "Look, I like X about you and I want to dig deeper. Lemme get your number/let's go to..."

Besides that I give genuine compliments for things that impress me. The way she dressed, a perspective I never had, an accomplishment... It might not happen often but when it does it's well deserved.

Saying someone is "too pretty to be paused on FaceTime" is not only simping it's a lie. Gassing up is just straight up lying and being over the top to me.
