Artist who are also label owners will rarely let a signee with a potentially bigger buzz, become possibly as popular.Tip dropped the ball with Yung LA and Young Dro.
They had the potential to run things (TI, LA, and Dro) for a minute.
Idk. Show me all the artist on the label and let's see how many of them have been successful.
They own fault. Tip went to jail twice at different peaks in his career. At least one of them times young dro coulda used his own buzz and went ham on features held the thrown and built his brand til TI came home. Same for anyone else on the label.
What they did what sit around on they habds til TI came home and go
Grand Hustle
TI ruined any chances that label ever had by going to prison not once but twice while he was super popular. Only artist they ever blew was B.o.B cause of records Atlantic hand delivered to him.
Ok so where is he now?
I'll wait....
Maybe TI took him as far as he was meant to go.
Iggy Azalea, Young Dro, BOB
I mean, Dro's biggest record features T.I. Yung L.A.'s biggest record features T.I. Dro had several looks on Grand Hustle for his second album, but none of the songs took off. What is T.I. supposed to do? Feature on every song.
that's a fact. people on the internet keep pushing the conspiracy that tip dropped the ball or don't want to see dro outshine him when dro himself went to the breakfast club and said tip set him up with a thousand opportunities but he kept fumbling and that the drugs messed him up for a minute. then t.i. went up there himself and said he saw in dro what drake is today, the potential to run the game and he wanted dro to be the star so he could quit rapping and just be the label head/actor but said dro never really wanted to be more than a star in atlanta and that anything outside of having a banger buzzing in atlanta everything else was out of his comfort zone, dude also said because him and dro are so tight it enable dro to basically not put in the work.
dro is one of them nikkas that's just happy with being known in the hood. he don't have the hunger/work ethic for more.
Here's Spodee interview with a lot of slick talking
TI with the response
- troubleman31As we all go about our business&pleasure on this fine day today, allow me to remind u of two former young hopeful Grand Hustlers who thought goin against da GLORY&GOOD GRACES of da fam might be more beneficial to their campaign.... Now while u may not know, care or remember anything of their antics,I MUST remind you.... It's room for 1more pic up there.@superspodee#fukkUMean#KeepMYnameOutyoMouf#OuttaRespectOfYaCuzzo I'll just leave it at that. #HustleGangOverErrrthang#BankRollMafia#NOLOVEFORDAOTHERSIDE

dog, jason jeter is on record saying chit like "we are focused on just T.I. right now.
meanwhile, you have a roster full of buzzin and/or established acts sitting on the shelf. most of them came to grand hustle with a buzz and/or a name already in place.
jeter is the reason why BG left. if tip was home, it'd be even worse.
it aint about going to prison.
grand hustle is basically rocafella south. tip dont want to see nobody blow up bigger than him.
rocafella at least had dame keeping the other artists from being completely sabotaged. instead, grand hustle has jason jeter who is on the same page as tip.
dro album blew up 9 years ago and we still aint get a follow-up.
iggy & BOB are pop-tarts. they can do their numbers without steppin on tip's toes. and even then, their parent label did more for them.
lol.
tip was expendable on those records.
dro's records on the 2nd album didnt take off cuz they werent pushed/
LA had a grip of records that took off and still no album.
tip feeding a functional J.
dro gonna cosign whatever.
On one hand I fully understand. Imagine being on a job for 6 years. Never even getting to do your job
I'm here 6 years and you won't even let me drop an album. What the hell else am I doing here
On the other hand. Leave and shut up. They got those years. You free now. Build your own shyt up. Stay connected and friendly and network
nikkas always wanna shyt on someone on the way out
If T.I. was so expendable that none of Dro's other singles without T.I. never took off. Dro had better singles on his debut that had videos than "Shoulder Lean", but they didn't take off. T.I. was on the hook for "Shoulder Lean" and it was what really made it take off. Yes, Dro ripped it, but this song came out with a T.I. hook at a time when T.I. was the biggest rapper in the game. Same goes for "Ain't I" except when "Ain't I" came out, T.I. was second only to Wayne.
did tip come up with the hook? other than that, he was expendable on the record. his role in the video wouldve been a sufficient enough cosign.
tip was dry down south when "aint i" was out. he was moreso just a mainstream/national rapper riding LA's wave and snagging all the big market credit from it. gucci & boosie were running the south by that point.
the only rapper ti put on is iggy azalea
Yea I'd be pissed then. I would speak on it to Tip then. Not wait till I'm finally free. Then talk shyt to the worldthat dude almost died f*ckin around with grand hustle.
you'd be pissed too.
6 years is a long ass time.
lol @ ti acting like anybody has blew from being on grand hustle.
