Artist who are also label owners will rarely let a signee with a potentially bigger buzz, become possibly as popular.

They own fault. Tip went to jail twice at different peaks in his career. At least one of them times young dro coulda used his own buzz and went ham on features held the thrown and built his brand til TI came home. Same for anyone else on the label.
What they did what sit around on they habds til TI came home and got it poppin.
Only 1 i feel for was dg yola. Real talent. Real skills. One major hit that had atl clubs cray.
My cousin stayed in Allen Temple and cosigned yola was really out in tha streets (thats really what stopped him- he kept getting shot, or arrested for shooting mfukkaz)

TI ruined any chances that label ever had by going to prison not once but twice while he was super popular. Only artist they ever blew was B.o.B cause of records Atlantic hand delivered to him.

If T.I. was so expendable that none of Dro's other singles without T.I. never took off. Dro had better singles on his debut that had videos than "Shoulder Lean", but they didn't take off. T.I. was on the hook for "Shoulder Lean" and it was what really made it take off. Yes, Dro ripped it, but this song came out with a T.I. hook at a time when T.I. was the biggest rapper in the game. Same goes for "Ain't I" except when "Ain't I" came out, T.I. was second only to Wayne.

did tip come up with the hook? other than that, he was expendable on the record. his role in the video wouldve been a sufficient enough cosign.
tip was dry down south when "aint i" was out. he was moreso just a mainstream/national rapper riding LA's wave and snagging all the big market credit from it. gucci & boosie were running the south by that point.
i find it funny how tip be hoppin on the records with these newer dudes that basically built alot of their sound off of dro & LA. the same guys tip held back. that chit is scust.

at T.I. being dry down south when "Ain't I" was out. T.I. was the biggest artist in The South not named Wayne. Need I remind you that he had "What's Up, What's Up Happenin'" and some of the album cuts off Paper Trail that were big down here when "Ain't I" was out. This was 2008, not 2013.
