Whats wrong with the ending? It wasnt happy enough for me but if you look at the operation the Fireflies were running they didnt have nearly the setup required to do anything with the information. In one of the transcripts they even said they were just trying to find a cure to feel like they had a purpose even though all of their efforts were failing. There was no guarantee they could make a cure with Ellie, let alone mass produce a vaccine, and save humanity. The fireflies were just a revolutionary outfit that were out for power. Chances are, theyd offer the cure to whoever joined them. There didnt really seem to be any good guys in this world.

What's wrong with the ending? You KNEW Joel wasn't gonna let that shyt go down in the hospital and regardless if he lied to her or not, he didn't, but if he did it was because they both needed that.
Humanity was fukked and after 20 years you mean to tell me they could not adapt and try to make the world normal again? Naw that cure would not have meant shyt except that maybe future generations would have been immune and you would have been stuck with the same problem. Ellie dying for a world she never knew or experienced would have been meaningless because that world would never come back because the people like Joel gave it up as soon as things got rough.
Just have Ellie breed and have some kids who are hopefully immune and start over humanity that way.

Actually he didnt tell her the truth. She was unconcious and then woke up in a truck leaving the hospital like
The recordings said there were others that were immune but nothing like Ellie. Still, who wants to give Ellie over to those kind of people. THey didnt have the tech or the infrastructure to do much of anything.

Its annoying trying to get all the firefly chains and realizing some of them are in Trees..............
