Early SpongeBob is one of the great TV shows ever :manny:

Holds up to this day - and not in a fake rose-tinted nostalgia way. Like legitimately, they hold up.

Squidward's life is how a lot of 20 year old reddit bums are :dead:

Jaded about life, but act like they are superior to everyone else, but want to kill themselves :dead:

:russ: at this scene right here

Why early SpongeBob was so good was because:

They set up actual jokes, and payed attention to the comedic timing, delivery of the lines, and the artwork. A lot of care was put in to every part of the scene.

And they combined it with low key good character writing that fit the jokes so well.

There's a certain Magic that Stephen Hillenburg has, that the writers now don't have.

Don't even get me started on why Fairly Old Parents went down hill :snoop:

Cartoons before 2005 always had an adult philosophical element to it

Like the cartoon Gargoyles. That shyt has biblical, historical, and mythological references all through that bytch. I miss the 90s and early 2000s cartoons :mjcry: :banderas:

Millennial generation had the last of the good shyt all around, not just cartoons or TV but we still had the capability to go outside have fun and hone our social skills. Thats because high speed internet and smart devices were only introduced when most of us were already in our teens and some what developed mentally.

Compared to this new generation that were BORN into high speed internet and these smart devices and in result lack social skills. Mofos have little interest exploring outdoors as they're content being glued to their devices 24/7. Then in regards to actual movies and shows they don't get to enjoy a lot of the adult subtleties we had. Society now is mad soft and sensitive so any small rated r or adult type content in these new kiddie shows would instantly get bushed with all this cancel culture, alphabet community, )feminism movement etc etc who take offense to any slight "inappropriate" content.:francis:

Grateful to have a childhood when the world was still somewhat normal.:wow:
