No lie...

Just heard on the news here in NY that people (obviously CAC's) are mad because they felt a fukking horse (tripe crown winner) should of won sports PERSON of the year...

Tennis phenom, Serena Williams, won Sports Illustraed sportsperson of the year. However some are very upset and think it is an affirmative action choice by the magazine because they feel a horse should’ve got the award. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian (The Point) hosts of The Young Turks discuss.

Serena deserved it, no doubt. I imagine there was a very heavy internal debate by SI in giving it to her though. I guarantee they had their sights on Rousey or Brucelynn. That in itself is very disappointing.

If Rousey didn't lose that fight then who knows what SI would have done.It was Serena's year period. That science project named Bruce doesn't play a sport at all so he/she is out of the running. As for American Phraraoh man its a horse :heh:

Serena is one of those rare athletes who, unfortunately, will be appreciated more once she is finished playing. Most of our great black athletes excelled at sports where blacks tend to dominate anyway(boxing, basketball, football, and years ago, baseball). She is the only one, aside from Tiger, to dominate a white dominated sport. I don't mean winning a championship here and there. She is on the precipice of becoming the greatest champion ever. Forget the ad hominem bs. Serena is one of the greatest athletes regardless of gender. She plays an individual sport so to me there is always a little more credit given. She is on the short list for greatest competitors ever also. Richard Williams is a fukking prophet because it played out pretty much like he said. With Serena we are seeing something we may never see again. At least not for a very long time. Let's enjoy it while we still can.
