Well, here's what I do:
I purchase/download full albums by the artists I support. You won't catch me listening to an album like GKMC or The Black Album on Spotify. Kinda like movies. I have the DVDs of The Godfather trilogy, 40-Year-Old Virgin and that sh1t I love.
But where Netflix/Spotify come in handy is those things that I'm just curious about. Just earlier, I was listening to jazz for an hour or so. I go on kicks and start listening to early 80s soft rock and random stuff like that.
I don't know if I'm getting my point across, but hopefully you see what I'm saying![]()
So y'all pay just to listen to music, not even burn/download?
You might as well youtube it![]()

Edit : Seems like Google acquired them for 4.3 B last month. Good move.
Why don't yall just dl music ?
Pretty sure that was an April Fools Joke.
Thing with spotify is the artists get pennies for their work, so it's still morally vacuous as far as I'm concerned when we're talking about downloading music or streaming.
That's just me though, I really try to support artists that I like any way I can, so I usually just buy their music + stream it on spoitify because even though spotify/record labels give them pennies it is still free pennies I suppose.
If I don't buy an album I'll download it for my iPod then still only stream it on spotify.
I just started using the free trial.
I've been downloading music since 2003. Honestly the biggest drawback is sound quality. It's usually hit or miss. I'm feeling spotify so far but I don't know. I still feel restricted. Part of what I like about downloading for free is the thrill of the hunt.
$10 a month aint bad but I've heard about people losing gigs of music on some dumb shyt like syncing with too many devices.
dapppppFree? I pay them jokers ten dollars every month.
WORTH. EVERY. PENNY.![]()
