Spring/Summer Rec. Teams

I'm signing up for a co-ed flag football team this year, mostly so I can play because my friends hate playing sports but I'm kinda excited, nervous.

Anyone of good or bad stories about joining rec teams, would you join one?

I don't have any stories of being on recreational teams, just school sports teams. This sounds like a good idea though. I'm going to see if there are any volleyball rec teams around here.
