Will the Spurs move arenas?

I agree with this. It's a nice arena but the location is abysmal. The city did a horrible job with the planning. It's in the hood with no entertainment around it. They promised to "beautify" the Eastside and bring businesses to the community but did nothing.
It's like what I said regarding the A's stadium situation.

There aren't many stadiums left in the hood. Since the revitalization boom in the 90s of rebuilding stadiums /arenas, if they can situate them downtown somewhere, they will.

You can list the amount of stadiums /arenas in the country either near or in the hood on one hand probably.

Here's the list basically of stadiums still in or near the hood:

AT&T Center (Spurs)
Yankee Stadium (Yankees)
Oakland Coliseum (A's... for now)
Guaranteed Rate Field (White Sox? Chicago brehs can better describe the area)
Prudential Center (Devils) it's not really the hood but the location is sketchy
Hard Rock Stadium (Dolphins)

am I missing any?

They don't need a new arena, lol, it's not a huge city like Chicago where they may need 20+ thousand seats.

How bad is their neighborhood if they wanna move somewhere else?

This Wembanyama kid gonna have the LeBron effect...

I don't know Texas politics, so I won't speak on it..

But i assume whatever "maneuvering" they gotta do to maximize the city, they are gonna go all out

at&t center was just built 20 years ago

only 10 nba arenas are newer than at&t center. Why the hell do they need a new arena?

Ownership wants it to make more money. A lot of arenas weren't that old when they were replaced in the 90s and 00s but they were torn down anyway. Time to repeat the cycle.

This area has gotten alot safer/better within the past 5-7 years. there's literally dunkin donuts, smoothie shops and shyt right outside the stadium. Miami gardens of today isnt what it was 20 years ago.

I haven't been to San Antonio in years but way did they build the arena there in the first place?
City wanted to try and revitalize the East Side but it didn't go like they thought it would when they put it there.

That neighborhood still the same as it was back in 2002, except for a Starbucks up the street from the stadium

If anything they could share using both the AT&T arena and Alamodome
