what fuccery happened with FFXII's development cycle? I can't remember that far back.

And to add i actually liked FFXII enough to complete it. Threw FFXIII in the bushes by the time i got to the house/ice hockey stadium iono the fucc part don't dven know if i was far into the game. Snow was just too much of a cornball.

What's your opinion of FFXV so far...breh i was so dissapointed in the character design and the fact it just looked like a douche road trip i immediately cos i promised myself this was the last game FF i'd give sqaure the benefit of the doubt and those two things coupled with this games development cycles doesn't bode well with how its gonna turn out. The enemies and some of the locations (like the red sky place with the bahamut looking beast flying over) looked tho





Say brehs, remember back in the days how we'd only worry about whether square was gonna push the battle system into an interesting direction cos we knew the story, graphics, soundtrack and environmrnts were gonna be ???

The original director of XII was forced out and replaced. The replacement added Vaan and Penelo. Originally Basch and to a lesser extent Ashe were the protagonist of the game. Hell playing the game they pretty much still are. Vaan and Penelo are just there.

Final Fantasy isn't my most anticipated JRPG series anymore. I look at XV and I don't like the all male cast, the road trip theme, and I wanna know what happened to Stella. They haven't shown her since it was called Versus. I can't really say I'm hyped for XV but when it comes out I'll play it. Back when it was called Versus it looked more interesting to me.

It's been over brehs. They're just destroying it's legacy. Nothing they make will ever capture players' hearts like FFI-FFX did. FFXII while good, didn't leave an impression like the older FFs, and FFXIII was a complete joke. Then they went and ruined it even more by giving it sequels.

Square should retire the name and make a completely new IP and rebuild it's fandom and make a new legacy with their new younger staff and ideas. They're literally just milking off what the older staff did and just using the legendary name for money. It's not the same anymore, and instead of trying to limit themselves by creating games with the old FF trademarks, they should just do what comes to them and perfect the type of games they're good at.

I love Persona as much as the next guy, but Final fukking Fantasy, what pretty much introduced and made us all fall in love with the JRPG genre, should never have be runner-up to it. And at this point it is.

What was so bad about ffxiii? Yeah, the story was a bit convoluted, and Lightning was a bytch sometimes, but I'll be damned if the game play wasn't fun as fukk. Like, I would get up and I couldn't wait to play it because it was addicted. I ended up doing everything in that game except level up 3 or 4 characters all the way.

FFX is my favorite FF, but its gameplay (not to mention its final boss) ain't got shyt on FFXIII's. Yall need to stop acting like ffxiii is the worst game ever.

Having to stagger the enemy to do substantial damage was annoying and the level cap made me throw game in the bushes.

Having to stagger didn't bother me that much in ffxiii, but holy shyt it was a pain in the ass to do in Lightning Returns

I feel you on that but i'm not wasting 50-60 hours on a game where i believe the story is ass and the charavters are annoying...

Meanwhile, FFXIV: ARR is the best MMO on the market. And raking in HUGE amounts of money that even Yoshi-P and his team didn't expect. XI is still supported and going on, XV looks like its going to crush the buildings if they learned from the crap that was XIII and mobile/digital sales of the series are strong...

What in the actual hell are you talking about really. Don't like the run of XIII and its spin offs fool you....There is WAAAAAAAAY more good than bad Final Fantasy.

If you are missing classic FF, try Bravely Default. Other than that be thankful Persona 5 is coming out. Square dropped the ball a generation ago and still haven't got "IT" back. It's sad as hell when all they need to do is remake FF7 but oh well. fukk it. If they die they die.

ff9 doesnt get a lot of fanfare but its my favorite one. great story, all the characters were likeable, it was the last true open world setup with lots to explore, and had a memorable soundtrack. the main downside is that the game was too easy and the villain was too derivative (what else is new about jrpgs tho.
