They did say they wanted more episodic games
Can't lie I avoided hitman to begin with bc it was episodic and harsh drm but then I bought it after all the giant bomb hype and loved it, even got a few cool brehs on the hype train (still waiting on @Mowgli to beat my Paris time ) but yeah they mentioned on had absolution sold 3 million on steam alone (given it's been very cheap multiple times) and hitman 2016 only sold 600k and that's just the first ep
Not to mention no microtransactions or anything to get additional revenue game was probably a massive flop.
Truth be told I wouldn't mind Ubi getting them as long as they don't completely absorb them, to help with stealth on ac, watch dogs and splinter cell games

Just cause 3 and thief were disasters,those IP are most likely dead.

If they don't keep the studio intact with the personnel, it'll be another wasted IP that their own internal studios couldn't capitalize on.
