i read that tomb raider did well for them so i hope they keep developing games for that. tomb raider and rise of the tomb raider were great.

idk if the episode release affected the sale of hitman or not but seems like this was made to focus on final fantasy and mobile games. i just hope they don't make the next final fantasy subscription based like realm reborn.

Square Enix. :hhh: They need to stop putting stock in JRPGs and bolster their western studios. Hitman being episodic was a hard sell even if the game was great, everyone is just going to wait for the GOTY edition and eat at a discount.

I remember somewhere the game that had to be online. Was that true?
At first you had to buy it online. The physical disk wasn't released until a year later.

I got it for half price during the PSN Holiday sale. They wanted $60 for the physical around late January (release date for physical).
I was going to do that but was visiting family and didn't have access to my PS4.

IDK, didn't they say that the episodic format help drive Hitman sales? I think the franchise was on the rocks after absolution was not well received.

I think Hitman is a series in which is valuable and should be kept around as an episodic format. It has had a pretty rocky history, it seems like every other game they fukk it up in some way.

First Hitman on the PC was annoying as fukk, I remember buying it on release date at COMPUSA and it was hard as fukk :damn:

Hitman 2 = CLASSIC

Hitman Contracts = Ok I guess :manny:

Hitman Blood Money = :banderas:

Hitman Absolution = :stopitslime:

Hitman = :ehh:

True, but Absolution had a gang of stages and is the much more inferior game to Hitman.
But flabsolution sold more because consumers saw more value in a game with more stages instead of a game with few stages but heavy on content

Absolution was perfect for the casual Hitman gamer and newcomers. Not so much for the Hitman core gamers.

Hard-core gamers make hitman games sell like shyt.

To satisfy both you need many stages any mucho content.

Like it or not the gamers from hit man part 1 have grown up

I don't know how they can book this shyt as an extraordinary loss. They are a video game company, this shyt happens. Sorry, I do accounting in real life brehs so this looks like window dressing for the balance sheet.
