Are all bad boys created equal? Are the end results equal across all races of getting with a bad boy? Does socioeconomic factors make it easier and thus sensible for one group to go with a bad boy over another or at the very least, be able to bounce back from going with a bad boy as opposed to other guys? :jbhmm:

I might be the last bad boy on the coli,,,
So i will try to help this discussion

I think the key features of a bad boy--
1) legitimate track record of past criminal activity (esp if they avoided prosecution)
Let's say actions that could get 10+ years

2) follows their own rule book - can sometimes comply with social norms if it suits their goal
--But can also go way off script
But whichever the case, acting thoughtfully and with a purpose

3) some sense of longevity and overall coming out way ahead of the game (so not just stupid criminal misconduct or antisocial non-conformity
- but moving in a way where they "win" a lot more than they lose
Their misbehavior is "rewarded"
They are not encumbered by rules

Then it would make sense for people in the more disadvantaged groups to make a bigger fuss about their own going with bad boys than it would for those who have more advantages. I'm all for making the discussion more about socioeconomic factors and racial or class privileges, but I can't help but feel as if the end result would be very similar if not, the same.

All races of women like the bad boy thug types.
I'm sick of the narrative that only black women chase after thugs.
Yes, this was inspired by the "nuclear physicist " thread
I can confirm this, I been eating for what seems like a life time

Those are true. Maybe you can argue that they are overexaggerated at times.

A true myth is that black fathers are not there for their kids when data shows otherwise.
Truth! I’m an old head and most, if not all of my Black and Spanish friends had their pops in their house, and I’m from Brooklyn.

Which other women?
All of them.:francis:
You’ll see it in poor white/Hispanic communities, but it’s a lot less likely once you get into the middle class. In our community it’s not uncommon to see a woman with a lower middle class/middle class job with a broke/deadbeat/incarcerated baby daddy.
