I hear you but Its not so much a need, its more progressive training.

I dont play sports anymore so I don't need to bench or squat over 300 anything.
But if i've been progressively getting stronger all my life, i'm not just gonna go in the gym and start benching 125 :skip:

If anything i'll stop progressing but i wont regress

Why would you not keep increasing the weight as you get stronger? Why limit yourself?

Just because you can do it doesnt mean u should. I mean we are human, there is gonna be a price to pay someday.
Why not do more reps? Fvck around and snap your shyt.

You snap something usually because a) your form is trash and/or b) you're lifting weight that you can't handle. Get the best of both worlds by increasing the amount of weight you lift AND your max rep count.

More reps can lead to form break downs which is much more likely to snap your shyt. Focusing on 80-100% effort for a smaller amount of reps can be safer than higher reps.

I dont mess with weights but i probably do easily over 100 squats on leg day, which is once every 3 days for me

I do a variety of different squats and lunges

Jumping jack squats
Resistance band squats
Resistance band pull through squats
Calf raise squats

Side lunges
Jump lunges
Resistance band lunges
Reverse lunges

Kill your knees lifting heavy weights tall brehs :francis:

I'm 6'4 and I agree it's difficult to do squats properly. I don't go over 405 no more on squats but focus on leg machines and do more reps squat using proper form using lower weights
