He signed an extension two days ago with Buffalo. I can't imagine he'd leave them right now

I'm sure his agent/attorney made sure there were some contingencies in the contract for that. Buffalo knows what's up; they know he ain't staying there forever.

I can't think of who else they could conceivably go after that would be viewed as a solid hire. Masiello up at Manhattan would be a good hire, IMO, but like Francesa said, he probably wouldn't leave for awhile since Manhattan held him down and gave him his job back after that resume fiasco.

I don't think he's staying their long term either but I think he at least stays for 2015-2016. Bolting a week after you sign an extension is in real poor taste.

EDIT: My bad, apparently he only agreed in principle to the extension and is interviewing with DePaul this weekend. In that case, all bets are off. They should give him a blank check and tell him to fill it out

Yeah, Masiello is a good coach but he's sort of radioactive at this point. I think he'll be at Manhattan the next decade

I could see Mullin going out like Drexler did at Univ of Houston, they just need to holla at either of the Hurley brothers. Danny before Bobby IMO, Danny Hurley was basically recruiting D1 teams to St Benedicts.

lavin shouldn't have been hired to begin with. he's horrible. underachieved and never won a big game.

please go after shaka smart.

That conversation wouldn't last long.... SJU: Coach Smart, we'd like to.... Shaka: :russ::mjlol::pachaha:

Shaka ain't leaving VCU for SJU. St. John's ain't that kinda job any more. If and when Shaka leaves, it's gonna be for a powerhouse program. Mike Jarvis really set that program back.

I don't know if it's that simple; Norm was the top recruiter for Bill Self at Kansas, and he couldn't put a dent in recruiting. It might just be that most kids are wanting to leave the city. But still, as THE city program, you should have no trouble fielding a nice program.
