I don't see this ending well... It would be cool if Mullin could go in there and resurrect the program but I don't think you're gonna get top players to come to Queens and play in Carnesecca Arena off the strength of the Mullin name.

dude better be putting together a very strong staff, I'd imagine they're probably gonna throw money at Book Richardson and Matt Abdelmassih, they're gonna need recruiters because Mullin obviously has no AAU ties and kids these days ain't gonna get gassed just off of his name.

Mullin is not the answer I believe. They need a young upcoming coach with a vision and a plan who plays a certain style of ball to attract recruits. Just because Chris Mullin played in the NBA doesn't mean players would automatically want to go there. They should target someone like Shaka Smart but I seriously doubt he leaves VCU to go to St. Johns considering all the other jobs he has turned down the past few years.
