Only racists would argue that there is a lack of diversity of thought amongst blacks. Anybody that talks to enough black people knows without thinking that we are a huge coalition of differing viewpoints, ideals and principles.
You're not making any sense. I said I will always
celebrate diversity of thought among blacks, I never said there wasn't
any diversity of thought among blacks.
The point is that whatever circumstances lead Kaep to speak up, do not in any way invalidate what he's doing. He's not broke in the gutter, he could have chosen to do any number of things, he chose this.
Again, you underestimate fame as a currency. And in the era of black SJW pimps like Umar running around, it's absolutely necessary to make sure people are genuine. Malcom X was literally risking his life for us, there is no comparison between the two.
You've given no good reason as to why we should suspect his motives except he didn't come out the womb screaming "I have a dream".
I have plenty of good reasons. The fact that he never said or done ANYTHING, or anywhere close to showing he gave a fukk about blacks until it was time to get kicked out of the NFL is a good reason to be suspicious of his intent.
I said it was easy to argue given the lack of talent in the league, I'm not particularly interested in rehashing that argument
Because there is no argument there, he wasn't a good QB and was on his way out of the door.
If we take your argument to its logical conclusion then anybody doing anybody in the public eye or using a platform to send a message is doing it for fame. Again, we can't possibly know if that's true so why even care? Why is it that people who bring this up always have so much to say about who delivers the message but not the message itself?
In the digital age? Yeah, that's very possible to be true. Also again, that logic works against Kap as well, no way to know he's genuine.
Jason Whitlock used his platform to declare that Lebron doesn't have a right to care or talk about racism after his house was spray-painted with the word ****** because he's rich.
Jason Whitlock used his platform to tear down one of the few female athletic icons we have in Serena Williams, disparaging her body shape, calling her a fat underachiever.
Jason Whitlock used his platform to declare that Kaepernick isn't black enough to have a say about racism in America.
Jason Whitlock used his platform to discourage black people from fighting racism publicly because he thinks it's pointless.
Jason Whitlock is 100% correct with all of his comments on Kap. He isn't black enough and hasn't lived the black experience to speak on the topic. He has a right to speak out on racism in general, but beyond that no.
No, Jason Whitlock believes that if you really bout that life, stop advertising to those same oppressors you're war strategies. Once again, Jason Whitlock is 100% correct, and this exact same point has been said by MANY a black leader. We already know what we need to do to oppose whites but half our ranks don't want freedom and equality, they want white validation. Whitlock was pointing that out and I agree with him whole heartedly, just like I agreed with people like Claude Anderson and Neely Fuller when they said the same thing.
Folks like you confuse the whitlock contrarian ways as something intellectual and philosophically couragous thats worth defending.
It isnt. What hes doing is c00ning and youre creating excuses for it under the guise of diversity of ideas.
Its folks like you who think that because We take issue (and rightfully so) with some clown c00n being contrary to the majority of blacks means we as blacks are incapable of properly assesing our own condition.
I personally have never heard or experienced anything from Jason Whitlock to label him a c00n. He celebrates people like Ali, Joe Lewis, ect. People were really were on the frontlines during real mandatory segregation and racist times.
