Ross wanted to sign Wiz or Curren$y at first then when they wanted to do their own thing, he signed someone else from that circle- Stalley. Stalley figured signing with one of the hottest artists out would give him the boost as it worked for Wale and Meek. After Self Made 2, Stalley will have a better idea of his position at MMG and where that will take him....

As far as Pill, Ross already stated that Pill was kinda forced on him by Warner Brothers which probably means that he never really put the same time in with Pill as he did with Meek and Wale who were the artists that he himself brought to the table.
