No he didn't. He wrote a song about a kid named Stan. Nas made it an adjective.
If someone called me a "stan" and Nas never made Ether, I wouldn't know what the person was talking about. I know Eminem created the song but I wouldn't think about the term in that context if it wasn't for what Nas did.

eminem gets 100% credit for stan, and those calling themselves 'im a stan of ...., i stan ....' :russ:

the shyt is an insult you dumb fakkits, anyman refering to themselves as stan is an idiot. you crushing on another man so hard you kill yourself and babymoms. yeah thats the good trait in it be an obsessed pyschopath over a rapper and proudly wear it. smh.

but yep stan is enough of a termonlogy to be in the dictionary, credit eminem. nas wasnt the only person to use it as an insult.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
lol. Stop forcing it. You think Nas would've have called Jigga a Stan if em hadn't made that song? Give credit where it's due :comeon:
It still wasn't a slang until Nas made it a slang. U can't reference anything without a source so it's pointless to say Nas wouldn't have thought of it without the Em song. That's the point. The Eminem song is the source material that makes the point of the insult connect. He turned a character in a song into a slang to call people.
