From what I've heard stan lee was an a$$hole at marvel and took credit for everyone else's work and creations while basically doing nothing

That's the business unfortunately. It's similar to who created Batman. Three people helped create the character and that world, yet only Bob Kane gets credit? Kirby's estate actually filed a lawsuit against Lee many, many years ago. Now, I'm not denying Stan had a hand in creating the Marvel characters, but c'mon give credit where credit is due to everyone who had a major hand in it. In every interview or article they treat Stan as if he was the sole creator of everything. But in the end, it's all cool though. Jack left Marvel and went to DC and created The New Gods.
