You know we live in an age where racism, hypocrisy doesn't exist until a white man like Stan says it. 
I love Van Gundy, and i appreciate his efforts to champion social equality more than anyone, but this is a horribly misguided statement at best. To complain that random shootings arent treated on equal footing as an act of terror at one of the more famous sporting events this country has to offer, is illogical and ridiculous. Shoehorning race into this just makes it worse, and almost comes across as if hes mocking his overall point because the comparison is so messy.

And we have multiple 80-100 pg. threads here at the coli ourselves. Wonder why we dont see that for every shooting at a bbq around here...but it makes perfect sense to say that if the victim had been black at the Boston marathon then somehow nobody would have cared.
Again, his point is absolutely just when it comes to the value the media places on the lives of different races, but this is just a stupid time to bring that up. There are literally a million better examples of this phenomena. Not an act of terror at a major sporting event.
