he had 4 years with roster control, ultimately it is his fault

Again the roster he started with was trash and mostly capped out. You cant fix capped out teams. Mitch gonna go through the same shyt with Charlotte.

@WMG the 2nd

I thought you guys cleared the decks by the 2nd season of SVG's tenure

There's quite a few coaching vacancies left this year: Charlotte, Detroit, Orlando, Milwaukee, Atlanta and possibly Toronto

He basically ran away from his own mess.
Them likely taking his GM responsibilities was a convenient excuse to dip...

He knows you can't build around Drummond, and his low motor and lack of any skill set offensively will be career long issues for him.

He knows Reggie Jackson is a bench player miscast as a starting PG.

He knows Blake is not nearly the same player he was years ago.

He also drafted Stanley Johnson and Luke Kennard...which will go down as two of the worst 1st round draft picks in franchise history. Stan is a solid coach who GM'd himself into an impossible spot and then ran away because he knows this shyt is all bad right now.

So ownership basically let's this dude come to their house, destroy it-leave toys all over the place, piss on the seat, etc.-, leave and then make the folks that live their clean it up.
Why wait til AFTER he orchestrates that dumb ass Blake trade and then let him go. Makes no sense.

fukk this team man.

He did a good job rebuilding it’s just his pieces didn’t fit and he stuck out on the draft three years in a row
First year he had no first round pick but he had Drummond as the piece
Got rid of the josh smith contract and took Brandon Jennings in to a borderline all star before the Achilles
Gets Reggie Jackson who goes 18 and 8 and gets us to the playoffs hen he gets hurt. Gets Drummond to be an all star. Saved us from kcp overrated ass. Took chances on players who could have fit like Bradley and Meeks. But bad contracts and health issues were 50 percent the problem and the other was his lackluster coaching up of players outside of the first two years.

Stan with better talent is fine but with guys like Stevens and quinn coaching up rosters that aren’t that far from Detroit talent wise or even Nate McMillan reinventing his self in Indiana, I say Stan had plenty chances to do something with these guys. I want to see the pistons go after Budenholzer from Atlanta or ime udoka in San Antonio, guys that have had big front courts and shooters ala spurs with pau and LaMarcus and Atlanta with horford and millsap

All nikkas up here will say is get Mark Jackson which I hope we don’t even consider but hey gores cutting checks out the ass let’s see him spend some money on a name or pick up somebody wih some schemes to make use of Blake Drummond and shooters

I wonder who's gonna land a job in Detroit, these guys seem to be getting interviews everywhere this summer:

  • Jerry Stackhouse
  • David Blatt
  • Ettore Messina
  • James Borrego
  • Mike Budenholzer
I think Nick Nurse from the Raptors will be a candidate in a few places too

he had 4 years and did nothing though(prob made things worst with the Blake trade). he also drafted poorly with passing on Mitchell being the final nail probably
