It's rare nowadays to see any high profile individual take such a polarizing stance and expand on their views in such a honest manner the way stan is doing, let alone a white one, and it's nothing short of commendable; Especially when you consider most black celebrities wouldn't even be this candid because they're too afraid of fukking with their money if they rock the boat to much, and that's just fukking shameful

It's crazy how so many celebrities and athletes hesitate to give their true opinions on social issues like this. I was watching ESPN after Victor Cruz apologized for what he said about Zimmerman, and the anchors literally said athletes shouldn't even comment on situations like that. I was disgusted.

America loves watching black males perform on the court/field/track but hates to give them a voice. Our society literally views us as less than human. I've understood this for a while but each time a situation like this arises, it's like another slap in the face.

This is the part of the Trayvon story that is the most abhorrent to me, by far. I understand why Zimmerman was acquitted given the ludicrous laws in Florida and the difficulty in proving anything beyond reasonable doubt...but the fact that average people are backing his actions, and more than that backing the RESULT of his actions, is violently offensive to me. It's painful to witness such a lack of humanity.
