:snoop: Who just saw TNT put up all those stats since Birdman joined the Heat? :russ:

kenyon martin was a better pickup

the dumbass lakers could of signed martin or anderson and didn't sign either...they didn't even have a backup center...one of the worst run organizations in the league :dead:

The 41-3 record shyt ESPN/TNT is trying to push is stupid...but anyone can see the difference he makes when he's out there..regardless of his cac genes.

dude can ball, this is just outright wrong. He's a big help to the Heat.

I don't even know how he can watch the game & say something like this with a straight face

He's not overrated. He was never in running the for the 6th Man etc. Is he over publicized because he's white? No. Is he over publicized because he's white and inked to the nines? Probably. He just really stands out. :yeshrug:

I thought stan van was reaching with this one until I came across these 2 posts:

lets see shall we?

exhibit A:

Heres Some Direct Quotes For You Guys, Just Cuz I Was Curious As To What He Actually Said

"Chris Anderson Has Probably Gotten More Credit For Playing 14-15 Mins A Game Then Anybody I Can Ever Think Of. This Isnt Even A Guy Playing 30 Mins A Game. Has He Had An Impact? YES. But When You Play 16 Mins The 1st Game Then 12 Mins The 2nd Game You're Not Having THAT Big An Impact"

"Hes A Good Bench Addition But The Fans Always Latch Onto A Guy Like That"

"He's Got A Mohawk And He Flies Around, He Has Alot Of Energy And He's Alot Of Fun, And Well He's A White Guy"

"I Think That Has Alot To Do With It (Being White) Whos The Last Great White Heat Player?"

"I Just Think His Contributions Are Being Overplayed"

van gundy actually made some good points here.

and now for exhibit B:

So I guess you hashed the first argument out in the other thread, no need to hijack this one.

Birdman is a heavily tattooed, recovering drug attack who is celebrated by NBA commentators and fans as somehow being representative of what's good and unique about the league
:childplease:.

His contributions are just that, contributions. That's great, but are we really acting like the play he gets from the media and fans has nothing to do with skin color?

:ooh:

He's telling the truth. Guys like Reggie Evans do the same thing and you don't hear about him.

yep.

they don't talk about him or kmart.
