Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said Friday that the facts are clear; McGlockton violently shoved Drejka to the ground and Drejka feared for his life. Because of that, he is covered under Florida's Stand Your Ground law.
Sheriff Gualtieri said the sheriff's office doesn't make the law, they just enforce it.
"Just because you can, doesn't mean you should," he said. "This case may be an example of that."
The case will now go to the State Attorney's Office.

Where It’s Not Safe
At this point...

If a cac gets confrontational, TAKE THEIR HEAD OFF...

Knock them the fukk out, dont argue with them, push them, have shoving matches...

Do not turn ur back from them....take their head off to the point they cant fight back

Dont even give them a chance. Cuz they will play dirty.

If u have to, blindside them.

Its u or them. No more fighting fair.

WTF are you talking about. You're not suppose to push random strangers, or did your parents not tell you to keep your hands to yourself? White man was obviously looking to kill someone and breh fell for the trap when he pushed dude. What else is there to say?
Pretty much all there is to be said. this a$$hole was just waiting for someone to give him the opening to pull his weapon and use it. the other guy was also clearly stepping forward after the shove until the guy reaches for the weapon and he steps back. so its clearly a guess whether he was done being physical.
a) dont be an a$$hole and park in a handicapped spot
b) its not a citizens job to police a parking lot
c) keep your hands to yourself. you never know whos packing heat during a petty argument
d) keep your hands to yourself especially in a state where a law is on the books saying you can be shot if you physically assault someone with no repercussions.

so according to @Nicole0416 logic, this guy is also supposed to just stand there and wait until a situation becomes life or death before using his weapon?

Craziness. "Feared for his life" is so vague

i feel like just because you have "the right to do something" doesn't mean it's the right thing to do or that it's a good idea. but at the same time, you should never assume people will do the right thing or live by the same code as you. what white guy did was a hoe move and what the black man did was stupid. all around, very unfortunate.

The Ummah!
That push was unessecary, but to draw a gun and actually shoot someone in the chest for doing That? Man give that dude the death penalty. People like that don't deserve to be on the street.

right, thats why over the years ive just avoided any argument with folks i dont know, no matter how petty you think it is. folks will want to fight over absolutely idiotic shyt, and its a toss up whether a gun or knife will come out. some lunatic policing a parking space? get in the car and drive home. some one driving like an ass? slow down and let him pass you. im certainly not engaging physically with some random jackass on the streets, unless its a entirely unavoidable
