He performed stand your ground perfectly. He was calm, retreated and the CAC charged after him swinging punches.

one is a deadly weapon the other is not. He didn't push him hard enough to the point of endangering his life and he pushed him away, not punched or was fighting him. Deadly force wasn't necessary. The man that was pushed could have retreated from the situation, wasn't in imminent danger.
