He'll only do 3 months, actually. For raping an unconscious woman behind a dumpster.
And not even prison. The judge made sure he stays in jail which is extremely light. I spent a weekend in jail. Its like being at the DMV for the most part. Crowded, boring, little else. Its nothing like prison where fukking rapists are supposed to go.

He'll likely stay in protective custody all 3 months which is even cushier.

This is why its best to exterminate cacs. You can't leave them to penalize one another. They are untrustworthy.

23-year-old victim in the rape case, who had had a blood-alcohol level three times the legal limit at the time of the rape and who had no memory of the attack, gave important testimony at the trial.

how he get arrested then?
And so it’s possible there never would have been any charges pressed against Turner if it weren’t for Stanford graduate students Peter Jonsson and Carl Fredrik Arndt.

Without their intervention, “we wouldn’t know who the perpetrator was,” Kianerci said. “Those two heroes made this case a prosecutable one.”

Just before 1 a.m. on Jan. 18, 2015, Jonsson and Arndt were riding their bikes along a path near the Kappa Alpha fraternity. Jonsson told the cops that movement by a dumpster caught his eye, and he saw a guy on top of a female who was lying on her back, according to a police report.

At first, Jonsson and Arndt assumed the interaction was consensual. But Jonsson said he noticed that the female wasn’t moving as he peddled by. “Something seemed weird,” he told police, because the woman appeared to be unconscious.

Jonsson and Arndt approached the dumpster and yelled “Hey” to the guy who was later revealed to be Turner. He took off running, according to the police report. Jonsson realized the woman was passed out and chased after Turner, eventually catching and tripping him, the police report said.

Officers responded to a call about an unconscious female near the Kappa Alpha fraternity about 10 minutes later, according to the report, and found Jonsson and Arndt holding Turner on the ground. Witnesses told police that Turner had possibly sexually assaulted the woman who was lying next to the dumpster. Her dress was pulled up and her underwear was missing.

The cops arrested Turner at the scene for attempted rape, and he acknowledged in an interview that he had penetrated the woman’s vagina with his fingers, according to the report. The woman did not regain consciousness until 4:15 a.m., and had no memory of the assault.
...
Turner was convicted of assault with intent to commit rape of an intoxicated woman, which means that he likely would have penetrated his victim with his penis had no one interrupted. The police report noted that when the officer found Turner being pinned down, he appeared to have an erection.

Weren't they both faded out of their minds though? She was blacked out, and he was drunk and staggering. Is it possible she gave consent before blacking out? Either way he should have stopped after realizing she was gone. Still, this is yet another example of why people are going at this so called rape culture the wrong way. Until folks tackle the alcohol abuse culture on campuses, these stories are going to continue to happen. Have to say too, while I agree she's a victim, she absolutely brought it on herself from drinking irresponsibly. Am I victim blaming? Absolutely I'm victim blaming, and if these feminists really cared about young college women as much as they claim to, they'd really start to point out situations like this as examples of how being irresponsible will result in you being a victim.

To be honest, fukk the victim and the rapist in this story and their families, the pundits, and anybody else that doesn't believe in personal responsibility. Just poor behavior all around. People want to have their cake and eat it too. They take no responsibility for their actions.

How are frats still allowed at colleges? Seems to be more of a morality hassle than a "team building" thing. Imagine if frats were purely a black college thing. I know its mostly a way for cacs to keep their little good ole boys networks going, but all that rape gotta be addressed. They always try to push that coded "college-athlete-rapey" shyt out there.

Except that getting drunk (Or drugged) shouldn't be punished by rape and it's not something she brought upon herself.

You sound like cacs who excuse police brutality and killings with "Well, he shouldn't have run or had criminal history".

Here's the deal though. Had she not got blacked out drunk, this wouldn't have happened. 90% of these situations involve alcohol. It's called taking preventative measures. If he wasn't drunk, it's arguable he wouldn't have behaved in the repugnant manner he had either. Was he wrong and should be punished? Of course. Regardless of that, these situations are going to continue to happen. Why? Because there's a bunch of irresponsible idiots on campus that put themselves in situations where they get victimized, and folks like you excuse their behavior and enable them. To make matters worse, half the time the victim doesn't even know whether or not they were victimized because they don't remember what happened the night before!!!! Then they want us in the public to determine guilt when they themselves can't determine whether they were assaulted in any way.

i think what he's saying is that if you truly care about not being raped, or if you truly care about your future daughters not being raped, you'd try to mitigate risk by not putting yourself in a situation where you are at risk (ie. drunk out of your mind)
