i seen most this sh!t but aint read the books, i always buy them for moms cause hes her favorite... she always tell me how he so detailed they cant capture the realness right on film, said the maze in the shinin was epic.... but she wont let me borrow the books fam..

Since u guys recommended I will get the TV series from the 70s for Salem's Lot.

I watched the movie for Cujo a couple of weeks ago and it sucked ass. I didn't like it at all. Is the book better? I imagine from seeing the flick that its one of his weaker books.

I remember reading The Stand at one point but have completely forgotten it.

And for movie adaptations my favorites are:

Dolores Claiborne. That's actually my favorite non horror King book after Shawshank Redemption.

Stand By Me, which was based on a novella called "The Body".

Carrie.

The Running Man.

Misery.

Sleepwalkers was actually never a book. It was something he specifically wrote for the big screen.

I always thought someone should pitch this sh!t to Hollywood morons that end up making wack ass movies and TV shows:

Remake IT...BUT...make a TV series. With like 13 episodes or so or even more. The book is so long that a 2 or even 3 hour movie wouldn't even cover half of the story.

So spread it out into a TV series with about an hour per episode. I would love to see the whole book covered and prepared for the screen and done right. I heard they want to remake it but a movie is just not gonna cut it. We already saw that with the 1990 version and that one was 3 hours long!

I mean, to be fair, the 1990 version wasn't too bad but it was trash compared to the book.
