Nah I disagree. Star be spitting some wild shyt no doubt. But he drops a lot of knowledge in regards to the behind the scenes dealings of the music industry, entreprenaurship, financial dealings, black history, cultural awareness, etc. You would have had to listen to his show back when he was on Hot 97 or even now through Youtube to understand where I'm, and a lot of people, are coming from. There's a method to his madness.

I remember Star saying that he makes sure he has no personal relationships with any of these entertainers. He just speak to them for work and after work is over, there's nothing to be discussed. This is rare! Because you have so many DJs in bed with these artists which leaves no separation of business and friendships.

thats the best way. its similar to how byron crawford never gave a fux. he didnt know these artists so it was no skin of his back to get at them. most of the critics/journalists know these artists nowadays.

Star is the exact opposite of minstrel show. He doesn't give a fukk what anyone thinks and he's not going to kiss anyone's ass for a check. You would of had to hear him when he was on hot 97 to fully understand.

Tyler Perry's Madea shyt is minstrel show to me not what Star does
