With the movie being the first time getting to know Fox, this makes 100% sense. This should do well, especially since it seems Fox was a fan favorite for kids along with Yoshi from the new movie.

I am curious what comes after this one because the Star Fox IP has always been underutilized. Maybe they will remake Star Fox 2.
The rumors are another adventure style game

Damn these levels looks fantastics. Familiar music. Bombs look a lil limp +won't have that classic n64-slowdown effect when action gets too thick, but it is what it is. One of the most replayable games in history gets a quality remake. Yes please

Same person who leaked this game was coming from last month said there is a OOT remake coming this year.

Ya'll hate remakes but right now, with the way this economy is, I expect to see a ton more remakes of everything.
People are not trying to gamble right now on something that "might" work when they can just look at what has worked, refresh it, and make that almost guaranteed buck. I think it also speaks to the core age group of console gamers. I guess I should do some actual research on it but just anecdotally, kids today seem to be more interest in iphone/ipad gaming with Roblux probably owning a chunk of the segment. Seems to me early consoles were purchased for kids, and those kids have now grown up and still want the feeling of those old games because I don't see how any 9 year old is out here hype over the Star Fox remake or the Ocarina of Time Remake.

I 100% agree regarding the OoT remake. I doubt kids will be interested in it. Since I feel the new fans it will appeal to are those whose first Zelda game was BOTW. Kids weren't even born when it came out 9 years ago. Also, I doubt the Zelda movie will help. Feels like the aim is using the OoT remake to spark interest in the Zelda movie.

However, I could see kids getting interested in the Star Fox remake considering Glen Powell's amazing portrayal of Fox McCloud in the Mario Galaxy movie. Kids really came to like Fox. So I could see the momentum from the movie being carried here. Also adding that a Star Fox movie is in production and, according to the leak, a second Star Fox game is in the cards.

See I will be consistent I’m calling out Nintendo for remaking Starfox 64 for the billionth time the same way I called out Sony for Milking TLOU 1 multiple times.

I don’t let fanboyism take over my gripes toward industry trends. Just make a new story dammit. Or remake a different game that wasn’t remade already like 2 or Assault with better ground missions or a reimagined version of Command. :francis:
