What gets me is that dudes are treating this shyt like this is some gang shyt in 2013. Trinidad was strictly talking about some music shyt not some NY street shyt. And these old heads need to stop with that nostalgic shyt about the old New York because no one is in their right mind wants to go back to that shyt hole. If they do, they can go to visit some of these other cities in America that resemble that era today.

What's sad is that NY artist and media personalities cannot even agree on how to feel when the entire city is disrespected
If a mahfawka cannot choose the correct tone and delivery to make his point, then either deal with the repercussions OR don't say shyt

I give some props to that Maino dude for at least addressing TJ, but he's not consistent cause he was copping please in the Kendrick situation

black people in general tend to find it hard to unite...so why would that change suddenly when speaking about the south?
Why are folks preaching BS that south artist are united, just cause a certain few who has the spot light are collabing?

Speak on it god...cause if "keeping it hip hop" means that you claiming to be the best in a city that you are not from...then name other songs that Kendrick or any rapper has done the same?

I'm the kind of [blank] is usually claimed by mawfawkas in that area

Kendrick said a old Kurupt line on a song, just staking his claim as king of rap in general. That's rap

Maino didn't even have a problem with Trinidad James saying NY fell off, his issue was the tough guy talk at the end of what he said and where he said it.

Nore put it best like if someone says "I think you need to do such and such" that's advice and people will be like "Okay, cool"
But if you say "You need to do such and such, and if you don't fukk you nikka we can get it poppin" then you gonna be like "Hold the fukk up, what nikka?"

That's the major difference my G

So that Kurupt line was not a challenge and intended to be a disrespect towards NY? He was indirectly giving props to NY?
If the line was rooted in disrespect, then any reference to that line will also be rooted in disrespect, regardless if he was paying homage
That's like referercing Super ugly and Ether verses, while asking to collab with Jay and Nas
