This is an absolute brilliant analogy about why this show is lacking now. They need a "retired athlete."

But they have what I'd say with all due respect, a Dame Dash on the show. A behind the scenes dude who saw many eras of the game. They didn't believe Joe's war stories and they damn sure don't believe Star.
IMO The problem is they don't respect dude's tenure at all. They think they're equals because Everyday Struggle took off last year.

They should get rid of Akademiks and brings in a rapper like Jamar or Royce. Or they can even bring a young you tuber who KNOWS about Hip-Hop.

Ak is useless. I'm skipping everytime he speaks; he's bringing nothing to the table.

The only way to save the show is to bring someone else to replace Ak or to let STAR do his thing without tying his hands on some PC shyt.

But Dame actually ran a label, oversaw contracts & was deep in the game. Star was, more or less, media just like Nadeska & Akademiks. He has 2nd hand info as a spectator but Joe had 1st hand experience.

That and this is a job for Star so there's no passion in this for him besides looking to outdo the other 2. He just here for a pissing contest and he has his hands tied behind his back.

Not terrible, but it's a slow week... They really need some guests soon. Feel like the topics are kinda stale and redudant
I think the topics are doable if they kept it larger than just music..."the culture" is bigger

like let Star review Drake telling Ak to hop off his IG Live. That would be funny

Star worked at multiple big record labels in pretty high positions for 8 years before he started on Radio

:mjpls:

This is way off.

1) Star had his own independent label with sign artist.

2) Star himself was signed to Def Jam just like Joe Budden

3) Neither Nedeska nor Akademiks have had an independent label with a signed artist nor where any of them signed to Def Jam so to compare them to Star is ludicrous.
