I think one reason these eps are shorter is because Joe made it a point to drag on a topic by either going on a (sometimes forced) tangent or play devils advocate so that the topic wouldn't end too quickly.

He's even said this on air when he felt they zipped through a topic.

Right now if AK/Star agree on something they will just agree and move on. Add on the fact of post-debut Star now being subdued - that doesn't help either

As much as I want this to work, and they are improving...

Star doesn't fit the mold of this format. He does not need a moderator, and he should be the loud voice with a more rational partner to keep a balance (Ak is too big of a brand himself to play that role)

Hopefully he gets his own gig out of this cause you can see they clipped dude's wings and it's no fun watching a censored, agreeable Star

He's just not that interesting to listen to. Boring. An industry amateur. No substance. Add to the fact that the moderator is useless and the lame topics they discuss and what you have is a weak product.

I watched some shows from last season and there isn't much of a difference. Joe Budden was mailing it in half the time. The show as a whole it seems only gained popularity based on Joe arguing with people, and the whole migos shyt.

Star has tried to bring substance and while some people are keep using the "culture" card, all people really want to see is c00ning and bafooning.

Lord Jamar would've been worse.
