Youtube comment that best sums up this 2nd episode:

*bell and clap sound bite*

:russ:

He was admittedly letting shyt slide and these nikkas took every opportunity. Completely conceding the floor, almost like he wanted them to wallow in their mediocrity. Even tried to bait him into listing top albums to use against him. Hilarious when he tried to give Nadeskas the floor after she flexed on him, and she fell back.

Show wasn't bad. It just wasn't interesting. Star offers so much more if Complex can get off these elementary topics like breh said earlier. That and the censoring just makes me want to tune into his radio show instead, whenever that comes back.

Btw, what is Nadeskas history? What makes her qualified to moderate informed discussions regarding hip hop? She comes off like a Complex intern who had this good idea and, because she was the only black face in the office, got the position. Even if she does have a history in the industry, she never divulges her experience, never expounds on a perspective through her industry "expertise." In short, wtf does she do? Never seen someone in this format so seemingly replaceable.

Doubt he'll be as tame tomorrow. His closing quote said as much...

If y’all actually care about her outside of just blind female hate. Both podcast recorded before Joe leaving. First one like 2 months ago. The second one over the summer.

I don't give a damn about Howard Stern either.

Maybe Star can go be his sidekick since Howard loves a nice c00n on his side:mjlol:

Just get this clown out of hiphop like the vulture that he is,let him go get money in the culture that he does care about:mjpls:.

nikka called star a culture vulture. :snoop:

Boy you kids are stupid as fukk.

Star is just philosophical with this. Him saying he is not a fan is syntax. Fan is short for fanatic and he doesn't want to be associated. If you asked him if he is a supporter you would probably get the answer you are looking for. He chooses the words he uses and wants to be associated with carefully.
He gets a lot of respect from Kool Herc and many Hip Hop luminaries throughout history. He just likes to challenge commonly accepted ideologies. He has experienced more Hip Hop than Ak or the female host.

them reditt and ktt cacs be using the same rhetoric.

if they knew his resume theyd know Star is very intune with the culture, so in turn they are exposing themselves as culture vultures for not being up on the credentials of a legendary hip hop radio dj

These young cacs have no deductive reasoning.

Really? :beli: Pretend a minute that you're Nedeska. Star, a very well know and powerful man, treats you with no respect at all, in this time of change, especially, are you really gonna disrespect yourself and let Star do that, especially in today's climate?. If you were Nedeska you would have done the same thing. Plus, what she did was hard (she was clearly nervous). I respect her a lot more now. :ehh:

I don’t. I only tuned for star and ak. Prior to that I tuned in for Budden and ak. She just a warm body taking up space in the middle. Replace her with another nameless face and I wouldn’t even blink. Today’s climate sucks so it seems refreshing to get uncensored thoughts on a show.

That's the thing.....

The same motherfukkers were saying the same shyt about Joe! Now he's their savior or some shyt.

It's like they can't think back more than a month. Same criticisms, same old head, washed, etc.

:gucci: they want it one way, but it's the other way

Star was a bit more better on the new episode in terms of being there and fitting into what the show needs to be rather than the first episode where it felt like he was a cover band of himself playing the greatest hits

But my god, what the fukk at Nadeska in this episode. Like ok, fair enough in this era ladies gotta have their voice but you got Star there for a reason and its not to attempt to bury him haphazardly. In this case I feel like that conversation is for off air

Star was good as far as showing he's actually a vet who studies the way the game works and is in tune with younger artist. Being a guy who worked at labels in the 90s specifically for radio, that mentality actually works in 2018 when the core now is just to check for singles from artists' digitally. Young people should have noticed this time around

Still a bit of a awkward fit surprisingly but its getting better

What's up with Star acting all polite and shyt. Was he told to tone it down after the first episode?

Nadeska must have leveraged herself a nice wage bump for season two knowing she was going to be working with someone as salacious as Star because she struggled with Budden at times and because i'm very surprised she's still willing to work with him day in day out after that clip.

edit- Ak even getting slapped around by rugrats
