I saw that too and thought WTF?

Say a show that is based far in the future has visuals that are too good for it brehs.

IDK.

When I went to see Star Trek in theaters I expected higher end production values layered over the dramatic stuff.
Discovery as a show looks like the movies but it's not layered over anything. The effects are trying to hard to overcompensate to make it "Treky"

Like I would have loved to see some semblance of what Spock's relationship to his sister is. Are they combative? Supportive?

Pike so far seems to be the only one who is riding the emotional wave of TOS trek.

I was disappointed with the make up and appearance of some of the classic alien races in Discovery from last season. TBH I thought Enterprise did a much better job with the look for the Vulcans, Andorians and Orions.

If those tie in novels are canon, they didn't really speak much for years, but they mended their relationship a bit back when Burnham was still first officer on the Shenzhou.

Bruh is playing Spock a bit too emotionally expressive.

Spock was more in touch with his emotions around the time he served under Pike. Look at his expression of glee at the plants of Talos IV in 'The Cage' or his utter delight at Kirk not being dead in 'Amok Time'.

It wasn't until he took leave from Starfleet to undertake the Kohlinar ritual to purge the last of his emotions and embrace pure logic that he became the Spock more known.

Finally watching this. Made it to episode 11 before taking a couple days to break.

I know older Trekkies aren't feeling or calling Orville better but as someone who watched Voyager and TNG with my parents, I must say I'm actually feeling this.

Went to cancel my CBS All Access trial so they wouldn't charge me and CBS ended up giving me a 50% discount for the next two months. Will that cover most of season 2 or will I have subscribe again or download somehow to finish it?
