I've been thinking about the rebels on Yavin 4 alot. Andor says that the guys on Yavin 4 are the Maya Pei Brigade.

Back in Season 1, Saw said "Maya Pei is a neo-Republican". That means that their goal (unlike Andor, Saw, the Separatists, Human Cultists and the other factions) is specifically to restore "The Republic" back to what it was before it was changed into "The Empire". When Andor says he has been fighting "this fight" since he was a little kid, he's including his tribe and Ferrix fighting AGAINST the Republic as part of "this fight". It's pretty clear to me that a lot of people in this universe still consider "The Republic" and "The Empire" to be the same thing. E.g. Dedra says when she was 3 she grew up in an "Imperial Kinderblock"...but when she was 3 years old that was before Palpatine had declared himself Emperor so technically it was a Republic Kinderblock :ohhh:.

What we know from other Star Wars stuff is that the "Rebel Alliance" that Mon Mothma becomes the head of is short for "The Alliance to Restore the Republic". Also, when Andor takes off at the end of the 2nd Episode we see not only that he was on Yavin 4, but that he was also at the exact same spot as the "Rebel's Hidden Fortress" from Star Wars.

What that means to me is that the idiots on Yavin 4 playing space Rock Paper Scissors are the same organization that Mon Mothma will take control of and make the dominant faction over all the other factions fighting against the Empire. THESE guys are the core of the group we're going to see wearing the orange jumpsuits and flying the X-Wing fighters 3 years later.

So I'm guessing this season is going to have to show us how Separatists, terrorists, cultists, etc. somehow all got forced into line behind the neo-Republican team.
true.... reasons being. some on the other realm wouldnt know as the news hasnt fully travelled yet. Also... the republic and the empire look exactly the same. Since AOTC when palpatine took over the two basically look the same. Emperor came out as being palps in ROTS

Great 3 starter episodes and if they started like this you know they Gon ramp up.

Maga Star Wars Cacs Mad that Andor got Immigrants and an attempted R*pe scene , but but but that's not supposed to be in Star wars like Jaba the Hutt didn't have sex slaves. Or Vader had Leia tortured by a droid? Most toxic racist fan base for real. This show is the Best thing to happen to Star Wars in decades :whew: Actress that plays Bix sexy than a MF all greased up and dirty and still :takedat: :shaq:
Jason Momoa eating good :banderas:

What's the cannon regarding the X-Wing? I've been wondering when the Rebellion gets a hand on them or if they had to actually build them (and if getting a hand of that imperial ship had anything to do with it) :patrice:

I've never watched Rebels so I don't know if it was covered there ... But in Andor Season 1 they showed that Saw's forces had their own blue X-Wings. So my guess is that the ANH Rebels either got them from Saw, or from the same place he got them from

Andor also didn't mention the Mon Calamari yet. We know from Rogue One as well as Return of the Jedi that the Mon Calamari were the ones operating the really BIG Rebel capital ships

We've had 15 episodes and like 13 hours of this show and they still don't have a scene or set piece as garbage as this

It's crazy how much better this show is than The Last Jedi especially

Andor realizing the Ghorman rebel group may be in over their heads.

The levels of infiltration and trickery by the ISB.

:wow:
It was like an NFL coach getting a job at Kennedy High School and they gotta face the Eagles on Sunday... and they think they ready

Andor looks at them like stringer bell looked at Bodie and Poot :dead:

Luthen's dialogue with both Cassian & Mon really pushes through where he is willing to go to lengths either aren't willing to go. As Luthen mentions, Cassian needs to think like a leader instead of a solider. Cassian knew it from the jump that those people in Ghorman were noway ready. Although for Luthen he wants to create Chaos for the empire to take notice and let them be even more arrogant. Though in many ways the Ghorman people are just a sacrifice to him. There is no doubt the fight and the case he is 100% on the money on what they need to do. Though him not understanding why Mon was asking about her cousin shows he is a bit detached because her asking about her because she cares for her. Luthen is so soaked up in this rebellion that doesn't click. Though it could also be an emphasis that he knows that more than likely, he won't be around for when they finally take down the Empire.

Also, I like the parallel between Luthen keeping secrets from Cassian much like how Dedra is keeping secrets from Syril is fascinating. We're already seeing Cassian getting irritated with Luthen because Bix's health is still fukked. Plus, we know with the real mission that Krennic has assigned to Dedra. At some point, what happens when Syril learns of the reality. Or will he still stick his guns for the empire? His character has gotten a lot more interesting as time goes on.

This show is fantastic at creating tension. As we see Kleya getting rid of the bug alongside of the activity on Ghorman. The Ghorman scene very much alludes to what Cassian meant that they weren't ready. It is quite ironic that Vel wouldn't take the mission without Cinta, but her coming brought her a death that no one would have expected. Curious how Vel moves forward. Also, I wonder if Mon didn't ask the questions to Krennic I wonder if Kleya would have been able to take out the bug without Krennic drawing suspicon. She might have picked on something which could be a small bit of development for her.

I was surprised that Bix went and infiltrated the "Doctor" that interrogated her. Though I did hear some people mention that her conversation with Luthen was a mean of motivation. It basically was a job without outlining it as one. Kind of the best thing about this series as every piece of dialogue is important and some subtle points like that can be easy to miss. It does look that Bix is finally back on track and Luthen did know that Cassian wouldn't leave her behind, plus this helps her recover from her trauma a bit to add.
