The main character in the campaign is Iden Versio. You play as her and the hero characters from the movies after Return of the Jedi to The Force Awakens.

Its pretty good. If you like Battlefield 4 you will like this game. It basically a reskinned Battlefield 4 theme star wars game with improved graphics.

I keep telling myself it's me and give the game a shot...but I just end up playing something else after every match

Naw game sucks. I try too but not even considering the prior controversy, this isn’t a good game. Servers are shyt. People skipping and rubber banding every where including me(100mbps wires for anyone asking). The shooting mechanics like you said are wonky and not satisfying. So is handling of most ships. Some of these maps are not balanced at all depending on which faction you are. Just not doing it for me. And it’s obvious to others too hence the inactivity of this game. Hell even shytty WW2 thread has more traffic. And low key I’d rather play that over this. Unsticky this
