it might be a financial success at launch, but I think the question is how many people will still be playing it months after that

personally it's not something I'm interested in paying $60 for, and I'm a pretty big Star Wars fan

never played Titanfall but I will definitely give Battlefront a spin, looks fire. and Im by no means a star wars fan. I usually only play MP on shooters anyway too so no campaign is fine by me.

Breh

1. It's Star Wars
2. Made by DICE
3. EA gonna promote the hell out of this

It's not failing
SWTOR:

1. It's Star Wars
2. Made by Bioware
3. EA promoted the hell out of this

it ended up going free2play, and is generally seen as a 'failure'

source please on titanfall not pushing xbox one sales :usure:
Re-read my post fucc tard. I said everyone assumed and thought titan fall was the next coming, it was supposed to become a main seller on x1 and propell that system to sell more the PS4. But not only did titan fall fail to meet those expectations PS4 still beat it in sales that month too:russ::deadmanny:

I'm sayin, a big part of the success of BF and other modern military shooters is because they use real weapons with 'realistic' ballistics. I'm not sure how that will carry over to a bunch of pew-pew rifles and shyt

Oh shyt you just brought up a very valid point:jbhmm:
If EA couldn't get swotor to sell I don't see much hope for battlefront. Thing is swotor is certainly more appealing on paper then battlefront. Swotor is an mmorpg and woulda been doing Wow numbers if it was good. The valid point I see being made here is that EA does not know how to market star wars games. How the hell you screw up a star wars game with the kinda budget they have? Oh I know, it's by not giving your games enough dev time, which is EA s problem accross the board but that's a different subject entirely.

I think part of it was that the subscription based WoW model had already ran it's course. people had already moved on to free2play or pay-once MMO's and MOBA's, and weren't in a hurry to pay a monthly fee to do the same shyt they did in WoW for years. they were banking on an outdated model

but never the less, it being a Star Wars game made by Bioware and EA didn't save it

The final game might not be great but it's still gonna sell millions of copies. You're not gonna be able to escape Star Wars in November and December.

PS4 was smart to get the marketing deal and the special edition console.
