Anyone else having the same fears?

This movie is nothing but a rehash. One of the reasons The Empire Strikes Back is so great is because it took many risks and went in a different direction than the original movie.

The thing is the prequels just damaged this series' credibility so much I think at this point Disney HAS to play it safe now. They have to cash in on that nostalgia from the original trilogy at least for this movie.

If it follows the trajectory of the OT...then this is our space-epic, wild wild west of space kinda stuff....unlikely hero learns of his destiny kinda stuff.

that mean Episode VIII is going to crush the fukking galaxy!! Middle movie of trilogy should ALWAYS be the best because it has the most room for development...no need for real resolution, and no need for any real introductions...

the dark siders weren't called "sith" in the originals though. i know it was something that was used in the original novelization but at the time i don't think it was something associated with the dark siders in general.

all dark siders being "sith" was something that sprung up from the prequels. all of them being called darth ____ was also something that came up during the prequels.

damn, you might be right. def looks like a mon calamari cruiser, but I think its the Liberty type that got blasted by the Death Star.

Tight sequence tho definite homage to ROTJ flying to the core of the second Death Star

Now that I look at it, its a damn Super Star Destroyer laying upside down. The Millenium Falcon is tiny compared to that exhaust port.

Seems like Ackbar gave somebody that work.

I like this teaser better than the first so that's something. I hope they're going to hold back on the nostalgia/homage thing, I hate it when they try to go for cheap pops instead of pushing for a new limit (see also the trailers for Jurassic World and Terminator Genisys).
