It's the only sequel film that is watchable. It is definitely missed potential with Finn, but hey, good enough for me to turn it back on. But I feel if they actually built on Force Awakens, the Sequel Trilogy could have at least been decent. Instead of whatever we got.
100%. Rise of Skywalker and Obi Wan i MIGHT one day because i'm a mark for palpatine and vader, and Vader is actually awesome in Obi Wan, but nah...pass. Last Jedi is FUKKING ABOMINABLE. I still cannot believe their big idea was that Luke sensed the darkside growing in Ben Solo and fukking tried to KILL HIM IN HIS SLEEP. This is the same skywalker who went across the entire fukkin galaxy multiple times to save like 5 of his new friends, and still tried to save his dad who was a genocider and evil and shyt.
Not just that, but 1/3 of the last Jedi turns out to be a filler side plot that’s awful to sit through anyway with the casino planet and low speed chase. It’s genuinely the textbook example of how not to write the middle of a trilogy, throwing away every plot thread set up by its predecessor, dumping on every character in it, and setting up nothing for part 3. It still blows my mind that such a script was ever approved in the first place.
