Namely the one who is obviously on a big redemption storyline.

Because his last name is solo. Why would he take the last name of the man who tried to kill him and abonden the name of the father who tired to turn him from the dark side?

Infinity War was one of the biggest and most well received movies of all time, with arguably the biggest cliffhanger ever, after a series of other massive movies in one big story line. So the hype for End Game is unprecedented

Last Jedi had half the people that saw it ready to throw Star Wars in the bushes forever, including the most hardcore of the fanbase

This trailer is a good start, but they got a long way to go to get that big of an audience hyped for them again

Endgame also gotta compete with Pokemon, Godzilla, Aladdin all at the same time.
Star Wars gotta compete with Jumanji 2.
People are really sleeping on the giant that is Pokemon. Either way Disney won. Idk what movie will make more but I'm not surprised if its star wars

Well, the comics did imply that Palpatine was Anakin's father, in a manner of speaking...

They basically implied that Palpatine, when he was younger, used the force to impregnate Shmi Skywalker. It's unknown why he chose her.

So you never know I guess it's possible he also somehow manipulated Shmi into taking the Skywalker family name.

Last Jedi was hot London sewer trash, but this movie basically says fukk all that. Now Luke is her daddy? This nikka had zero emotional response to seeing her in TLJ. I love SW, but I don't see how people are still invested at this point. The damage is done. I'm going to watch because I don't like shytting on things I haven't watched/experienced... but TLJ was supposed to set up an epic conclusion. Now I'm just waiting for Rey to reveal herself as a lesbo and for Finn to undergo a sex change so they can be an interracial vegan trans-couple.
