wouldn't say "bad", but the output since the 360 hasn't been the greatest to say the least. Leadership has NOT helped at all either. Put out games and no one cares.

The game has been functionally complete for a while now. It's been just fine tuning for a hot minute. Like Phil also said, the original release date was way sooner. I would not be surprised to hear that the price tag to produce this game is more than any halo, gears or forza.

EDIT: Let's make it clear im only buying a new xbox because of starfield... and Elder Scrolls 6... that's probably it...

IMO the 1000 planet thing isnt a selling point. What i like most about games is comparing what different players did working in the same area. I can appreciate what they have created but i would have much more preferred 100 fully fleshed out planets with settlements, cities, etc.... than 1000 when i know im not going to 900 of them.
Hopefully most of those 1000 are just filler with mining materials and skippable junk and there is real meat on the remainder.
