the 80s and early 90s used to be the Wild Wild West. When it came time to clean the city up, that meant the seedy strip clubs too. That and there's mad stories about how girls would get assaulted or worse on the spot by some high or drunk customer so those guys fukked it up for everyone else. Can't really get away with shyt no more unless you go to the outer boroughs and how many of those clubs are still standing?
