This is a bad idea.
Its proven that fasting makes you fatter.

It lowers your metabolism and makes your body more likely to store fat because it thinks you are dying.

As counter-intuitive as it sounds, not eating is one of the worst ways possible to lose weight.

Why do you feel you need to fast to achieve hunger? Couldn't you just significantly lower your intake?

Proven by who ?, can show you even on here many people fast and lose weight, not to mention countless elsewhere.

Even if you use the old cals in v cals out way of thinking, its simply impossible to gain weight if your not eating\abstaining or consuming less than your body needs.

Whole reason we have fat stores is for energy and for our body to use it, why wouldn't you body used stored energy if its there ? If your constantly eating your body will have no reason to use the glucose in your blood and then your fat stores for energy, it would just use the food your constantly eating. Remember 1 pound of fat is about 3000 calories, we are carrying more than enough energy on our bodies.

Only when you have no fat stores, your body will turn to muscle and then you will die as you have no energy source.

You only go into "starvation mode" when you have no fat or muscle left on your body, your body will also use excess skin as its mainly protein hence why you have never seen a POW or holocaust member with loose skin, as their body will use it as source of energy

Also there millions upon millions throughout human history would have died from fasting, but that simply isnt the case. Throughout human history eating all day everyday wasn't the norm, feast and famine spring to mind.

Aint no surprise there are so many fat unhealthy obese people in the world who are eating, which correlates with the "recommended" daily diet These are issues we never had prior to recent times, now its almost an epidemic in the western world.

Your body is metabolizing fat and muscle, you cannot force your body to only burn fat, this is part of the reason why spot-reduction does not work. You cannot say "body, i'm doing X, please use Y fat for my energy"

Second, your body will prioritize SAVING your fat stores when it thinks that you are starving and burn muscle instead. This is proven, do your own research.

Third, breh.. honestly you just have 0 idea how the body uses energy.

Fourth, What does sleeping have to do with not consuming food for 14 days? :dwillhuh:





Listen if you want to "lose weight" by starving yourself for 14 days, go right ahead, you a grown ass man do whatever you want to your body.

But if you think for one second that this is an effective way to lose fat, you do not understand the basics of how your body burns energy. You are literally making it more difficult for your body to burn fat in the future

No thanks.

In all seriousness, I'm not going back and forth with people who think that body only burns fat and doesn't metabolize muscle unless you have 0 fat stores.

But feel free to look up starvation response. Your body will always burn a small percentage of muscle, but when it thinks that you are starving, it burns more.



Starvation mode is a state in which the body responds to prolonged periods of low energy intake. During short periods of energy abstinence, the human body burns primarily free fatty acids from body fat stores, along with small amounts of muscle tissue to provide required glucose for the brain. After prolonged periods of starvation the body has depleted its body fat and begins to burn primarily lean tissue and muscle as a fuel source.

Ordinarily, the body responds to reduced energy intake by burning fat reserves and consuming muscle and other tissues. Specifically, the body burns fat after first exhausting the contents of the digestive tract along with glycogen reserves stored in liver cells.[2] After prolonged periods of starvation, the body uses the proteins within muscle tissue as a fuel source.[3]


You can debate it if you want, but this is rudimentary
