Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
First of all:
:salute:

This reads like a woman’s post on IG (no offence)

“I like doing things I like. Right now I’m getting into something I like and it is interesting to me. Will let you know how it goes.”

Wait, what? That was your answer?

“development” could mean literally a 100 things.
“coding” is part of software development, and could also mean 100 things.

So what are you thinking of doing: websites, apps..?

That’s the answer and oh yea fukk bytched MOB

Start with Java and Phyton as your foundation. This will make you solid.

Here are some channels.

Stay focused and never give up. Let none distract you on your mission.

Bro that’s my energy now and thanks I literally only sleep 4 hours a day for this stuff lol.

it will be worth it in the end. I’m keeping my energy by working out eating healthy and drinking lots of espresso lmao

Update. I’m loving SQL so far. Should be done with this boot camp at the end of the month and will move on to Java.

Any specific careers you can get just on having SQL skills alone?
Database Administrator but you would need to understand some of those concepts and I don't think you'll get all of them from a SQL course.

When you say concepts do you mean Java and Python as well?
From: Concepts for Database Administrators
It's rather Oracle oriented but it gives you an idea of some of the tasks outside of manipulating data.

Installing, upgrading, and patching Oracle Database software

Designing databases, including identifying requirements, creating the logical design (conceptual model), and physical database design

Creating Oracle databases

Developing and testing a backup and recovery strategy, backing up Oracle databases regularly, and recovering them in case of failures

Configuring the network environment to enable clients to connect to databases

Starting up and shutting down the database

Managing storage for the database

Managing users and security

Managing database objects such as tables, indexes, and views

Monitoring and tuning database performance

Investigating, gathering diagnostic data for, and reporting to Oracle Support Services any critical database errors

Evaluating and testing new database features

Tried teaching myself to code after binge watching “Silicon Valley”. Kept getting error messages and fukking up on basic shyt. I lost interest and gave up after about four days.
:mjlol:

Power to you brehs. It isn’t for everyone. I do plan on pushing it on my children though. That, being polyglots, and playing multiple instruments. Gotta keep those young brains busy.

Self taught is hard. I failed miserably in high school trying to teach myself C++. On a basic level it's just can you write a step by step set of instructions to complete a task. But no matter what I did, I couldn't grasp it until I was in a classroom setting.

In what language did you start practicing? Some languages aren't suited for beginners. Java and Python are relatively easy.

And since you are into music instruments, perhaps this will spark your interest.

I forgot which language. This was a while ago, breh. I do remember that I was using Python. It’s still on my MacBook. Had myself using YouTube guides and following along. shyt was hard and frustrating, man. I couldn’t even write up the simple calculator without fukking it up.
:mjcry:

It was more of a hobby that I figured would be great to learn. Good looking though. You brehs got it. Just knowing that there are fellow brothers who are actually thriving at it brings me joy.

Since I quit my job I’m actually interviewing for a low paying job at VIA and taking a major salary cut but since it’s VIA a tech company I know I can easily take my skills and transfer it to the tech side of the company.
