State Farm pulls sponsorship of Los Angeles Clippers - FanSided - Sports News, Entertainment, Lifestyle & Technology - 270+ Sites

The fallout from Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s racist comments continues to loom large, and it has cost the team a very big sponsorship. On Monday, during an appearance on “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd, the CEO of State Farm appeared to discuss his company’s sponsorship of the Clippers.

As it turns out, State Farm will no longer serve as a sponsor for the team due to Sterling’s insensitive and unacceptable remarks.

Sponsoring the Clippers is different from using Chris Paul.

They have tv spots during clippers gms and pay to have team functions. Im sure thats what they're stopping.

The author of that article seem to be guessing. As am I :mjpls:

I'd bet KIA will do the same, but Blake aint goin nowhere.

I wonder will this start the ball rolling for more companies to disassociate with the clippers

tbf it should. Kobe lost his sponsorship during the rape case, Tiger Woods lost his during the infidelity, phelps lost some for smoking weed, hell Rashard Mendenhall even lost a champion endorsement after he tweeted some shyt about Osama when he died. This imo is far more egregious than those infractions
