the nba endorsed and rewarded his racist behavior for years. how bout pulling sponsorship from the entire league rather than just the clippers. team wouldnt even be relevant if the league hadnt forced chris paul onto the the roster. he told his own gm that he wanted a plantation type work atmosphere where poor blacks worked for the white guy in 09, and the league rewarded that type of bigotry by shoehorning chris paul onto their roster and making them competitive overnight

Sponsoring the Clippers is different from using Chris Paul.

They have tv spots during clippers gms and pay to have team functions. Im sure thats what they're stopping.

The author of that article seem to be guessing. As am I :mjpls:

I'd bet KIA will do the same, but Blake aint goin nowhere.

This what I was wondering.

That should definitely be the next step if the league's response isn't up to par. He's been enabled for decades now, and was rewarded CP3 in one of the biggest fiascos ever. Policing black people is much more prioritized than policing rich racist whites tho I honestly expect a very weak response from the league. From there fans, players, and sponsors will have to do something.

Chris Paul and the Clips made a GRAVE mistake deciding to play in that game this past weekend. There reputations will be forever tarnished over this.
If they didnt play the repurcussions would have been far worse. You're not only dealing with fans, NBA, but also TV airtime, commercials. All contracted shyt that could of cost plenty of people plenty of money had they not have played. Not even the players union wouldve backed that idea.

State Farm pulls sponsorship of Los Angeles Clippers - FanSided - Sports News, Entertainment, Lifestyle & Technology - 270+ Sites

The fallout from Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s racist comments continues to loom large, and it has cost the team a very big sponsorship. On Monday, during an appearance on “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd, the CEO of State Farm appeared to discuss his company’s sponsorship of the Clippers.

As it turns out, State Farm will no longer serve as a sponsor for the team due to Sterling’s insensitive and unacceptable remarks.

Dont get your hopes up yet... I read on ESPN Statefarm, Redbull, and somebody else, have "suspended their sponsorship until further notice" .... as in, we might ban them permanantly we might not, but we'll see
